Pantheon Announces Name Change; Launches New Website & Logo
Arlington, VA, October 20, 2008 - Pantheon, an online technology company based in Arlington, VA, has launched a new corporate brand, website, and a rearticulated vision. On October 20, 2008, the company changed its name from Pantheon Software to Pantheon. Mark Tobias, Pantheon’s President, explained, “For some time now, we have felt the name Pantheon Software does not accurately reflect how our company has evolved. The value we add for our clients is not in the software or technology we build, but in what it actually does for our clients. To characterize Pantheon as a ‘software’ company does not do justice to the great work our team delivers.”
Pantheon’s new name and logo tagline, “Technology will get you there” reflects this shift. Oron Strauss, Pantheon’s Chairman, added, “What’s important is not the technology itself – that’s just a means – but rather where you’re trying to go. At Pantheon, we’re focused on using technology to help our clients reach their goals.” In addition to a new name and logo, Pantheon has launched a new website at www.panth.com which reflects the company’s new look and defines the new approach.
Over the past 14 years, Pantheon has worked with organizations of various sizes, scopes, and functions, experiencing successes and failures; that eventually led to the conclusion that there is a better way to make technology work for its clients. Pantheon believes the typical RFP process is flawed. It may seem obvious, but most RFPs and projects start with the solution, often neglecting the real needs of the customer. Because of this, RFPs often set organizations up for failure. Pantheon takes a different approach: it starts by identifying the objective, rather than the solution. Pantheon’s goal is first to figure out the goals and/or pain points and only then propose the best technology solution to achieve the goal.
Pantheon was founded in 1994 as an online consulting company. Four years ago, Mark Tobias, (President) and Oron Strauss, (Chairman) acquired Pantheon and began a process to change what was once a “run-of-the-mill” consulting company into a dynamic, innovative market leader. Akram Khan, Pantheon’s EVP, Client Engagements, explained his attraction to this new vision, “What really excites me about Pantheon is the way we establish real partnerships with our clients. We define our success by the degree to which our clients succeed – in order to do that, we need to dig much deeper than just reacting to an RFP.”
The new logo evokes an image of the technology building blocks Pantheon brings together to create seamless, comprehensive solutions for its clients. Danny Boice, Pantheon’s EVP, Implementation, discusses what Pantheon’s name and logo means to the company, “The word Pantheon comes from the ancient Greek “Temple of all the Gods” and, to us, implies durability, broad thinking, and the setting of the highest standards—all emblematic of what we strive to do. The dome of the Pantheon in Rome is an architectural marvel, perfect in form and serving as the model for the U.S. Capitol and St. Peter’s Cathedral. Pantheon aims to set a similar model, to serve as the archetype for how online technology companies can make a real difference in their clients’ businesses.”
Pantheon was founded in 1994 and since then has been successfully applying online technologies to real world business problems for both association/non-profit and commercial clients. To learn more about Pantheon, its solutions and services, visit us at www.panth.com.
